I haven't done this in a while, and I really should keep up with it better! But here it goes...
- My new job. I started three weeks ago and is everything I could hope for. My coworkers are great, I am loving learning new things, I am finally in a place where I can flourish again!
- My amazing friend T. I wouldn't have gotten my job if he took the position a month before me. He knew my position at my old lab was really insecure, and his was very secure, and knew I needed out. So he told them he would wait for the next position to open. I will always be so grateful for him.
- Energy Drinks. My Crohn's has been flaring again, and coffee irritates it more. I'm a fiend for Red Bull (not a paid ad lol), especially when I worked 16 hours last Friday and then 10 on Saturday trying to get COVID samples processed!
-The cold weather. I know everyone hates it, but I prefer this time of year any day over the summertime. I HATE being sweaty!
- Office supplies. I have a new little desk area and I love getting little things to help me organize and decorate my place!
- Air plants. I have a little one at my desk and it is super cute and I love seeing it just hanging out with me!
- Masks. Controversial I know. But I have gained a little weight lately and have been feeling insecure about having a double chin. And I am glad for my mask that covers it up XD
- My guinea pigs. I am pretty sure I have done them before, but I am extra thankful for them! I have been doing cute little photoshoots with them and will eventually make a calendar for them!
- Plants. I have been super excited to start planting the seeds that I have! Though right now the US is super frozen, (especially Texas, praying for y'all!) so I won't be planting them outdoors any time soon!
- Last but not least, I wanted to say my Dad. He has always been such a rock for my family, and is such an amazing goober, and we are celebrating his 60th birthday this weekend! I am really excited! It's not going to be super huge or anything, with COVID still being a thing, but we're going to do at least a nice dinner and have one of his buddies over to hang out and celebrate my dad! Happy Birthday Dad!
